So here I am thinking about what I need to do next. It's kind of a conundrum; I've always wanted a huge country house with kazillions of rooms and high ceilings and white painted woodwork. But I guess that my dreams never included upkeep like cleaning and washing woodwork and windows and washing curtains and polishng furniture. I mean you can't have a 17 room farmhouse and not put "stuff" in all of the rooms now can you? And you can't have this absolutely wonderful house and not keep it clean?
Wonder where that thought was when I was making my dreams come true.
But, you know, I do love it. Every last nook and cranny, cobweb and dust ball. And every single time I clean, memories come. And I wonder who owned each of my antique pieces and what their lives were like. I've seen some of those "modern" house cleaning tools in old 1870's magazines.
Guess I 'll clean along and count my blessings.
